I am an entertainer who loves parody, satire and silliness.  As a woman in my forties, it's become increasingly clear that surviving perimenopause in a youth obsessed culture requires humour and a certain amount of self-deprecation. Franny Wisp & Her Washboard makes a sincere attempt to withstand the pressures of society but most of the time she falls short and feels the need to express her experiences through her mediocre washboard skills and lots of laughter.
